Snowboarders and Skiers of Shames Mountain, located in Terrance BC, need your help. Through the work of many an initiative to raise roughly two million dollars is in place. After a few trips to the Island's local hill, Mount Cain, it isn't hard to tell that a ski area can be the community centre of an entire town. Being raised in a mountain town I can vouch for the fact that having a local hill is a huge asset to any community. Not only through the social factor but also the physical health benefits. Having the opportunity to spend every weekend in the outdoors can't be summed up with a margin of profit.. This is why community members of Terrance have started My Mountain CO-OP.
